  • I can confirm this is not my pc or my internet connection, as I have tried viewing the online player at my university with my laptop (different from my desktop at home) and, with a connection speed still near 10Mbps, get the exact same behavior, stuttering no matter what quality I pick, as long as it is the custom player and not Hulu, even with an excellent connection:




    In fact, this is arguably a better quality connection than my home, but still the same thing.

    Hello, I've been having issues watching shows now. It started with just not being able to stream HD content without severe stuttering and hangups, then it started happening in SD, then today I am at the point where I would start a program, hit pause, and go do something for ten minutes only to come back and still not be able to watch an entire episode through without buffering issues. Other streaming sites are fine (with the exception of Youtube which also always has buffering issues for anything higher than 480p, in case it matters)

    * Did this just start happening, has it been going on for a while or is it a problem that came back after being fixed?

    This started happening since maybe the beginning of the year in regards to HD buffering, then last week for SD.

    * Affected Show Title(s) - is it happening to a particular show, certain shows or everything

    Apparently everything.

    * Affected Episode Number(s) - is it happening to a particular episode, certain episodes or all episodes

    All

    * Affected Language Version - if the show is Dual Language, is it the dubbed, dubbed or both versions that are affected

    Both

    * Affected Video Format - is it the SD, HD or both versions that are affected

    All but Hulu embedded videos

    * What Operating System are you using? Which version is it? (Windows Vista, Mac 10.4, etc)

    Windows 7 Home Premium

    * What Browser are you using? Which version is it? (Chrome, Internet Explorer 7, FireFox 3.6, etc)

    Chrome 16.0.912.77 m

    * Is it happening in just one Browser or multiple browsers?

    This is my only browser besides IE 9, which is horrible beyond words

    * Is your Flash Player/Plugin up to date?

    Yes, just updated today too, but I've had issues since before today.

    If you are having trouble with smooth video playback, tell us about your internet connection:
    * What type of connection are you using? (Cable, DSL, WiFI, ect)

    Wifi 802.lln, 20MBPS rated connection through Verizon Fios

    speedtest.net shows a consistent internet connection for the past year or so.

    * Run a speed text and post the download speed results - we recommend www.speedtest.net/



    Also I used pingtest.net to determine line quality:



    Is there anything I can do to help this buffering issue? It does not seem to be an internet connection issue at this time.

    I've seen that, and forgive me if I say that's useless to me. Only the first 5 episodes of the two series I want to see are available, beyond where I am already, and at $2 per episode for that matter. I guess I'll have to wait and see if froyo does the trick on my phone, and in the meantime, maybe borrow my sister's ipod touch once in a while.


    Ok, sorry, didn't know if you had checked that out yet. I'll ask on Monday and see if there are any plans for more episodes or not. Check back!

    It doesn't really matter to me this weekend. I'm leaving late tomorrow so the next time I will really have to worry about this problem is going to be at least two weeks from now, if not more. I'm sure the admins will get to the problem in due time and hopefully be able to fix it. Thank you once again for the help

    So I just bought my Anime Network premium subscription and was watching a bunch of stuff yesterday in Tampa FL. Today I'm in Orlando FL on a home network from Bright House and I am getting an "Access Denied in your Region" error. What is this? I traveled 110 miles and I'm out of AN's online "Coverage" area? This must be a mistake, right?
